Downtown Disney West Side Information

The Downtown Disney west side is the biggest among the other three Downtown Disney areas. This covers an area of 9500 square foot and is great during entertainment and events.

This was initiated in1997 and shelters the home to Cirque du Soleil, Bongos Cuban Café and Disney quest. The Pleasure Island bus stop is the ideal bus stop for Disney resort bus stop.

Being the largest area the events and entertainments are unique as well. The entertainment includes 24 auditoriums with 18 theatres for viewing.

The house of blues offers live music including Jazz, Country as well as rock associated with Mississippi delta cuisine.

The dining areas are within Downtown Disney Westside and are very popular areas. The most prominent dining areas are Bongos Cuban café, Wetzel’s Pretzels, Candy Cauldron and Wolfgang Puck Café.

The Bongos Cuban café restaurant offers sizzling Cuban cuisine with Latin rhythms. It has the capacity of occupying 500 seats. The Candy Cauldron offers Sweets of the Southern Style. They have a three flour ceiling and their menus have excellent sandwiches, steaks and pizza.

The capacity of this restaurant is 550 seats. Wetzel’s Pretzels offers fresh hand rolled pretzels, baked pretzel dogs, ice creams, fresh lemonade and many more, while the Wolfgang Puck café has pizzas, excellent salads and lunch and the capacity is around 552 seats.

Entertainment is to the core with 24 theatres allowing you to catch up with the latest movies. La Nouba is presented twice a day at 6 and 9pm. Cirque du Soleil is marvelous. Disney Quest is a theme park that is really very interactive.

It has adventures for all ages. It can be observed as a virtual theme park, video arcade and futuristic entertainment center.

Opened in 1998, this quest is a real fun and is an exciting place to forget all the stress and to get immersed.

There are few admission tickets of Disney that involves Disney Quest, so ensure when you purchase a ticket.

Down Town Disney Westside gives a unique shopping experience. Some of the prominent and interesting shops are ‘Hoypoloi’ that has an assorted collection of art and offers a gallery of ceramics, sculpture and decorative items made of Metal, stone and wood.

‘Magic Masters’ are another elegant store that has a private library. ‘Magnetron’ is the choice of many people as nearly 20000 magnets come to life when the lights are dim.

Similarly, when nobody talks, rings or sings, the magnets glow with light, change color and glow in the dark. ‘Pop-Gallery’ is admired by artists and the paintings and the gift items available are striking. ‘Sunglass Icon’ has designer sunglasses and has excellent and identical glasses worn by celebrities.

The ‘Virgin Megastore’ has a collection of art and music, video, laser disc for previewing movies, outdoor elevated stage and an indoor as well as outdoor café. All these attractions make it more special.
